DRILL MODEL

Modeled in Maya
Textured in Substance Painter
Rendered using Redshift

This project was a lot of fun to complete because of the different types of forms I had to figure out how to model. The flywheel and gear teeth proved particularly fun with the usage of the "duplicate special" function.

Most importantly I followed and adhered to reference images for form, scale, and appropriate textures to get a more faithful result. This was my first  exploration into Substance 3D painter and I had fun creating textures, but far less enjoyment discovering the limits of the program on the computers. Adequate UV mapping gave me more freedom to play with textures.
